XML Is It, the Guy Sez

The motivation for this presentation was an audience member who stood up at the Extreme Markup Conference last year and said "I use XML because there are good XML tools available, and I don't have to implement everything from scratch that way."

This is a very sensible and pragmatic attitude. But I find using XML too clumsy for many tasks.
